Aalok Mehta - Participant

Aalok Mehta is currently a Policy Advisor at the White House National Economic Council, where he helps develop the President’s economic policies relating to domestic broadband, wireless, media, privacy, and internet issues, as well as emerging technologies. He is on detail from the Office of Management and Budget, where he covered more than $40 billion in Federal accounts relating to spectrum, the Federal Communications Commission, the National Telecommunications and Information Administration, FirstNet, and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. Previously, he worked as a reporter and editor in Washington, D.C., covering science and technology for the Washington Post, National Geographic, the American Chemical Society, and other organizations. He received a B.A. from Rice University and an M.A. and M.P.P from the University of Southern California, where he is also completing his doctoral degree.
