J. Stephanie Rose - Participant, Guest Scholar
Stephanie Rose is a veteran of the New York Air National Guard and has worked in government for 11 years prior to beginning her Ph.D. Stephanie is a fourth year Ph.D. student within the Department of Informatics and Network in the School of Computing & Information at the University of Pittsburg. Her research focuses on the intersection of technology, regulation and society. Thus far, her research topics have included automated spectrum enforcement, the digital divide and policy considerations for embeddable technology devices. Currently, she is working on her dissertation which provides an in-depth analysis of the Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC) Enforcement Bureau’s policy implementation and enforcement practices, in order to re-imagine regulation to meet the growing needs of the 4th industrial revolution.
