John Kunzweiler - Participant

John Kunzweiler is an accomplished business and community leader.

Presently, John is the chairman of a private inner-city high school, based in Richmond California (Salesian College Preparatory).   Among their many accomplishments, the school secures college admissions for 100% of their graduating seniors—110 students this past year.    

John served as the CEO of M Squared Consulting, a consulting and professional services firm based in San Francisco.  John led the company through significant re-structuring and ultimately its sale to a national firm, where John now serves on its Board.  In 2012 John was awarded the Bay Area’s Most Admired CEO award from the San Francisco Business Times. 

John was previously a senior partner at Accenture Plc (NYSE:ACN), where for 26 years he helped grow the firm from fewer than 2,000 employees to more than 150,000 worldwide.  He held several leadership positions including Global Managing Partner of Alliances, Joint Ventures and Venture Capital. 

Currently John serves as an advisor to two Bay Area start-ups:  CropMobster, a community exchange platform focused on surplus food distribution; and ProofLoyalty, a mobile commerce and marketing platform for wineries. 

John and his wife live in Tiburon, California.   John’s wife Julie founded a boutique consulting firm that serves F100 clients internationally and is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.   Julie is also the author of “Transform Your Mind & Your Business” which made the Amazon bestseller list. 

John has a BBA from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA from the University of Utah’s David Eccles School of Business, where he serves on the National Advisory Board.   John is a past recipient of the school’s Distinguished Alumnus Award.

John is a Fellow of the Aspen Institute and a longtime roundtable participant.  John also served for a decade on Tiburon’s Planning Commission and on a variety of Marin County economic and community initiatives. 

John is an avid cyclist and skier and is a published but struggling photographer/artist.
