Kelvin Westbrook - Participant

Kelvin R. Westbrook is President and Chief Executive Officer of KRW Advisors, LLC. KRW Advisors provides strategic and general business and consulting services to companies in telecommunications, media and other industries.  While offering a wide array of professional advisory services, KRW Advisors specializes in helping clients find unique, creative and sustainable solutions to complex business problems and challenges.

Mr. Westbrook is a member of the boards of several public companies, including Archer Daniels Midland Company; Camden Property Trust; Stifel Financial Corp. and T-Mobile US, Inc., and currently serves or has served as the chairman of various board committees.  In addition, he serves on the boards of Commerce Bank (St. Louis), N.A.; BJC Healthcare (Chairman), a multi-billion dollar not-for-profit healthcare system; St. Louis Children’s Hospital (Chairman), a nationally-ranked children’s hospital; and the St. Louis Internship Program.  He is a member of the Washington University School of Medicine National Council and the Business Program Advisory Council of Harris Stowe State University, and devotes energy to other community projects and charity work in St. Louis. He previously served on the boards of Angelica Corporation (2001-2008), the National Cable Satellite Corporation, better known as C-SPAN (2002-2011), and the National Cable & Telecommunications Association (1999-2007) and has been featured by Black Enterprise magazine as the CEO of one of the nation’s 100 largest businesses owned by African Americans.

Previously, Mr. Westbrook served as Chairman and Chief Strategic Officer (October 2006-September 2007) and President and CEO (May 1997-September 2006) of Millennium Digital Media Systems, LLC (broadband telecommunication services).  Prior to founding Millennium Digital Media Systems in 1997, Mr. Westbrook served as the President and Chairman of LEB Communications, Inc., an affiliate of Charter Communications, and as Executive Vice President of Charter Communications with responsibility for operations in St. Louis and several other regions of the country.  Before founding LEB in 1993, Mr. Westbrook was a Partner in the national law firm of Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker in New York City, where he specialized in mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance, and served as Co-Chair of its Telecommunications Practice Group. 

Mr. Westbrook received an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the University of Washington (1977) and a Juris Doctor degree from Harvard Law School (1982).
