Panthea Lee - Rapporteur, Participant

Panthea Lee is the co-founder of Reboot, a social enterprise working on issues of governance and global development. She specializes in the practical applications of ethnography, design, and technology in delivering services and programs.

Panthea has led initiatives to improve human development outcomes in over 20 countries, with a focus on Sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East, and across Asia. Her experience includes work in open government, public financial management, basic education, public health, and financial inclusion. She has designed systems to deliver humanitarian aid using mobile phones in Pakistan, to address the leakage of public funds in Nigeria, to deliver distance education to rural populations in Sudan, and to support victims of human trafficking in the United States.

Prior to Reboot, Panthea was with UNICEF Innovation, where she focused on leveraging mobile technology to improve UNICEF’s programming and operations. Her work has been featured in MIT Innovations Journal, The Atlantic, Fast Company, Core77, and Tech President. She has served as faculty for McGill University, the PopTech Social Innovation Program, and SVA Impact.
