This year, the Aspen Digital Communications Policy Project is expanding its purview to focus on content moderation, a globally vital issue that has implications for everything from free expression to national security. It is a vexing set of issues - made more urgent by the global pandemic - that requires dialog and collaboration among content and social media platforms, telecommunications companies, policy makers, security, and civic organizations speech advocates alike. We’re jump-starting the process by hosting four online exploratory sessions in May and June. The purpose of these sessions is to get your feedback in order to shape the best possible program. Our goal is to build on existing thought leadership and recommendations in this space, identify gaps, drive towards valuable and constructive outcomes.
