Jack Stephenson joined J.P. Morgan Chase in 2010 as Managing Director of Mobile, E-Commerce and Payments. He oversees mobile banking, digital payments products, payments strategy and innovation for Chase. Prior to JPM, Jack was at PayPal as senior vice president of Strategy, Partnerships, Analytics and New Ventures. He ran PayPal's mobile and co-branded card business and helped lead their expansion into consumer credit and launch of the developer platform, X.com. Prior to that, Stephenson worked at McKinsey & Co., where he was a senior partner in their Financial Institutions Group. Jack co-founded and led McKinsey’s Payments Practice, serving banks, credit card companies, processors, telecom operators and technology companies on strategy, technology and operational issues.
He has served on the boards of the San Francisco Aids Foundation, Wildlife Conservation Society and the Center for Market Innovation at the Natural Resources Defense Council. Mr. Stephenson earned his bachelor's degree in English literature from Yale University and lives and works in San Francisco.
