Catherine Bohigian is the Executive Vice President, Government Affairs, for Charter Communications. In this role, she oversees Charter’s federal and state government affairs, and is responsible for directing the company’s legislative and regulatory strategies.
Catherine joined Charter from Cablevision Systems Corporation, where she served as Senior Vice President, Federal Affairs. While at Cablevision, Ms. Bohigian oversaw the company’s Washington, DC, public policy office and was responsible for Cablevision’s federal government affairs. Prior to joining Cablevision, Ms. Bohigian worked at the Federal Communications Commission, where she served in several senior capacities, including Chief of the Office of Strategic Planning and Policy Analysis and Senior Advisor to then-Chairman Kevin Martin. Her responsibilities included helping to set the Chairman’s agenda and overseeing the implementation of much of that agenda, particularly with respect to media and enforcement issues. She also served as the Chairman’s point person for interactions with Congress and managed a staff of 20 economists and lawyers.
Before joining the FCC, Catherine was an attorney at Wiley Rein, representing telecommunications clients before the FCC. She earned her B.A. in Public Policy Studies, summa cum laude, from Duke University and her law degree, cum laude, from Harvard Law School.
Catherine and her husband David live in Washington with their three children.
